Fazana, in the south west of Istria makes an excellent location for bike riding and there is a 12 km long official bike trail that can be taken.
The Fazana bike trail takes you via - coastline, campsite Valbandom,( there is a small bay in Valbandon once famed for its mussel beds and was the site of the production of purple dye from purpura shellfish) Stancija Barbo, unpaved roads, olive groves, campsite Pineta, and returning via the coastline to Fazana. The bike trail is one of sixty marked bike trails throughout Istria.
